Mr. Twinamatsiko Crinad: A Trailblazer in Diagnostic Medicine, Research, and Health Education
With over a decade of distinguished experience in Diagnostic Medicine, Mr. Twinamatsiko Crinad stands out as a transformative figure in healthcare, research, and education. His deep-rooted commitment to advancing public health has left an indelible mark on both clinical practice and academic development in Uganda.
For more than 10 years, Mr. Twinamatsiko has been at the forefront of health education, specializing in microbiology. His dynamic teaching approach has shaped countless future health professionals, instilling in them a profound understanding of microbial science and its critical role in modern medicine.
In parallel with his academic career, he brings 10 years of invaluable hospital experience, notably contributing to the diagnosis and management of infectious diseases. His clinical acumen was honed through seven impactful years at Mbarara Regional Referral Hospital, where he served in the TB/HIV Clinic and played a key role in cutting-edge research through the Infectious Diseases Research Collaboration (IDRC). His efforts have directly enhanced diagnostic protocols and improved patient care for those battling TB and HIV.
Mr. Twinamatsiko’s leadership in the health sector is equally noteworthy. As Senior Examination Officer at the Uganda Allied Health Examination Board (UAHEB) for 10 years, he upheld the integrity and quality of allied health assessments nationwide. His strategic insight and dedication have been instrumental in elevating academic standards and ensuring the competence of health professionals across Uganda.
In his capacity as Acting Principal Tutor at Kampala Paramedix Institute, he led major reforms that enhanced both the academic and administrative operations of the institution. Today, he serves as the Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences at Metropolitan International University–Mbarara Campus, where he spearheads curriculum innovation, nurtures academic excellence, and mentors the next generation of healthcare leaders.
A passionate advocate for both education and public health, Mr. Twinamatsiko is a recognized expert in infectious disease diagnostics, antimicrobial resistance, laboratory quality assurance, and academic leadership. His unique ability to bridge scientific theory with real-world application has earned him a reputation as a trusted authority and visionary in the health sciences field.
