Metropolitan International University (MIU) was honored to host a team from the National Council for Higher Education (NCHE) Uganda as they carried out a quality assurance inspection of our Higher Education Certificate (HEC) programmes.
The visit was aimed at ensuring that MIU continues to meet the national standards required for the delivery of HEC programmes, which serve as an academic foundation for students seeking progression into degree-level studies.
Areas of Focus During the Inspection
The NCHE team reviewed several aspects of programme delivery, including:
-
Curriculum and teaching methods – to confirm alignment with NCHE guidelines.
-
Learning facilities – lecture rooms, ICT laboratories, and library resources.
-
Student support services – availability and effectiveness of academic and welfare support.
-
Faculty qualifications and resources – ensuring that teaching staff meet the required standards.
Commitment to Academic Excellence
The inspection reaffirmed MIU’s dedication to providing high-quality, accessible, and credible education. The feedback and recommendations shared by NCHE will further strengthen our capacity to deliver impactful learning experiences and improve student outcomes.
Looking Ahead
MIU extends its appreciation to NCHE Uganda for their continued support and guidance in promoting quality higher education. We also thank our faculty, staff, and students for their cooperation during the inspection process.
