AWARENESS OF POSSIBLE TERRORISM ATTACK

Please note that Terrorists are very likely to try to carry out attacks in Uganda as communicated by the Uganda Police. Attacks could be against innocent nationals in places that are most frequented not limited to Universities.

Therefore, the purpose of this communique is to remind you to be highly vigilant at all times especially in crowded areas and public places like hotels, transport hubs, restaurants and bars, and during major gatherings like sporting or religious events and when in close proximity to Government buildings.

All students are requested to report any suspicious person(s) or package(s) to nearest police station as well as the University security personnel.

Previous terrorist attacks and disrupted attacks in Uganda have targeted the security forces, places where football matches were being viewed, restaurants, buses and government buildings.

Be vigilant and stay safe!!
