MIU SUCCESS STORY:
With only days left for the physical opening of schools in Uganda, many schools are now preparing for normal operations and service delivery; after close to two years of lockdown. Niwagaba Julius, Korukiiko Anna, Kapere Samuel Niwagaba, Rukundo Marion graduates of Metropolitan International University faculty of Education & Humanities are some of those who cannot wait to see schools fully open.
Following the first presidential address of 18th March 2020, all schools were ordered to close with immediate effect from 20th March 2020 a few days before the first case was reported in Uganda, which saw the education sector closed for two years.
“Joining Metropolitan International University was the best decision I have ever taken; indeed, I can’t regret it. We were many applicants for these job posts but am glad I emerged the best candidate.” Niwagaba, Rukundo Marion narrates. The four graduates who were appointed headteachers by the Rukiga District service commission thanked the University management for the opportunity to study on the university bursary scheme, and the best lecturers who equipped them with good know which they believe they will pass it on to their communities.
The locals in the Rukiga district also extended their appreciation to the university management for bearing such fruits that have started bringing impact to their communities and pledged for continued support to the university.
