Metropolitan International University Holds 5th Graduation Ceremony
Metropolitan International University (MIU) held its 5th graduation ceremony on 25th February in Kisoro, Uganda. The event was graced by Dr. Monica Musenero, who represented President Yoweri Museveni as the Guest of Honor. As many as 1,496 graduands were awarded degrees, diplomas, and certificates in various disciplines, marking a significant achievement in their academic journey.
Dr. Musenero used the opportunity to address the fresh graduates, urging them to avoid reckless lifestyles characterized by sexual promiscuity, extravagant spending, and drunkenness. She emphasized the importance of living responsible lives that would contribute to the development of the nation.
The launch of the Institute of Languages was another highlight of the ceremony. MIU, a private university established by the National Council for Higher Education (NCHE) in November 2016, has continued to expand its academic offerings to meet the needs of its diverse student population. The Institute of Languages is expected to provide opportunities for students to learn different languages, enhance their communication skills, and broaden their cultural horizons.
The graduation ceremony was a momentous occasion that showcased the achievements of the graduating class, as well as the commitment of MIU to providing quality higher education in Uganda. The university has distinguished itself as a center of excellence that prepares students for leadership roles in various sectors of society.
