Kampala, Uganda | July 31st, 2026 – Metropolitan International University (MIU) welcomed a delegation from the National Council for Higher Education (NCHE) for an institutional inspection focused on gender balance and inclusivity.

The inspection was conducted as part of NCHE’s quality assurance mandate to assess and promote equitable practices within higher education institutions across Uganda. During the visit, the delegation engaged with the University’s Management and reviewed policies, institutional frameworks, and initiatives that promote gender equality and equal opportunities for both staff and students.

The inspection also provided an opportunity to evaluate MIU’s commitment to fostering an inclusive academic environment where diversity is embraced and every member of the University community has the opportunity to thrive.

Speaking during the engagement, the Vice Chancellor reaffirmed the University’s commitment to creating an inclusive institution that values diversity and equal opportunity.
