From April 8th to 11th, 2025, the Ministry of Education and Sports hosted the Uganda National Association of Student Nurses and Midwives (UNASNM) Regional Academic Seminar for Central and Western Uganda, gathering student leaders, educators, policymakers, and stakeholders under one roof to drive academic dialogue and leadership development.
Over four days, attendees explored topics ranging from:
- Professional ethics and clinical practice
- Leadership and communication in health education
- Innovations in nursing and midwifery
- Community-based health solutions
The seminar offered not only valuable knowledge-sharing but also opportunities for mentorship, regional networking, and personal development. The Ministry’s support in organizing this event demonstrates its continued commitment to shaping competent, ethical, and passionate healthcare professionals for Uganda.
As the seminar concludes, the energy, insights, and collaborations formed will continue to impact the academic and professional journeys of many young health leaders.
