University’s Active Participation in Mpigi District Women’s Day Celebrations

Metropolitan International University proudly joined hands with Women MP Hon. Nambooze Teddy (Mpigi District) in commemorating Women’s Day in Mpigi District, a significant event celebrating the achievements and resilience of women in our community. Through collaboration with esteemed partners like the Uganda Blood Bank and Nkozi Hospital, the university reaffirmed its commitment to community welfare by offering a spectrum of impactful initiatives.

As part of the Women’s Day celebrations organized by Women MP Hon. Nambooze Teddy, the Uganda Blood Bank orchestrated a blood donation campaign, urging individuals to contribute to this life-saving cause. The university actively encouraged faculty, students, and community members to participate, recognizing the crucial role of blood donation in supporting healthcare initiatives and saving lives.

Nkozi Hospital, renowned for its excellence in maternal and child healthcare, provided comprehensive maternal care services to pregnant women attending the Women’s Day event. Experienced healthcare professionals from the hospital offered prenatal check-ups, counseling, and medical support, ensuring the well-being of expectant mothers and their unborn children.

In alignment with its mission of education and empowerment, the university extended bursaries to deserving children from the Mpigi District community. These bursaries aim to break down financial barriers to education, enabling children from disadvantaged backgrounds to access quality schooling and pursue their academic aspirations.

Beyond the provision of services, the university engaged in empowering women and children through educational workshops, skill-building sessions, and awareness campaigns. By equipping individuals with knowledge, resources, and opportunities, we strive to foster a culture of empowerment and inclusivity within our community.

In conclusion, Metropolitan International University is honored to have been an active participant in the Mpigi District Women’s Day celebrations organized by Women MP Hon. Nambooze Teddy. Through collaborative efforts and meaningful engagement, we reaffirm our commitment to promoting health, education, and empowerment, contributing to the holistic development and well-being of women and children in our community.
